Simple shouldn't mean bland - and this Chicken Curry recipe knocks it out of the park! A mild, creamy coconut curry sauce made with just few ingredients. Ingredients
Chicken - 1 kg
Marination
Chilli powder (spicy) 2 tbsp
Kashmiri chilli 2 tbsp
1/2 of a lemon
1/2 cup curd
Salt (as needed)
Onions- 2 large diced
Tomatoes - 2 medium chopped
Ginger- small piece
Garlic - 7 cloves diced
Kashmiri chilli
Chilli powder
Salt
Milk - 1/2 cup
Chilli sauce (optional )
Corn oil
Garam masala 1/4 tsp
Directions
1. Marinate the chicken for about 1/2 to 1 hour.Cook the marinated chicken in a pan with lid closed until it becomes soft on medium flame. Saute onions, ginger- garlic in oil. Later add the chopped tomatoes.
2. Season it with 1/2 tsp chilli powder, 1/2 tsp kashmiri chilli and 1/4 tsp garam masala. Once its well sauted , remove from stove.
3. Grind the mixture after it cools down to form puree.Mildly roast the cooked chicken. (This step is optional)In a pan add the sauted puree mixture and combine it with roasted chicken.
4. Cook on low to medium flame for about 2- 3 minutes. Add 1/4tsp chilli sauce and 1/2 cup milk at this stage. Serve it hot with naan, rice, chapati or quboos.
