Pepper Chicken - Kerala Style

Here comes yet another chicken curry from the God’s own country! Pepper Chicken Curry is one of our family favorite chicken curry that I regularly prepare, which all of us love to eat, especially my family. This dish brings out the authentic south Indian spice of the dish. You can cook this dish easily at home for a dinner party as a side dish. It goes well with some rice as well as any Indian bread of your choice.



Ingredients

- Chicken - 1 kg

- Coconut Oil

- Green Chilli -1 slit

- Onions Diced - 2 medium sized

- Curry Leaves

- Tomato - 1 large chopped

- Tomato sauce - 2 tsp

- Chicken masala - 2 tsp

- Pepper - 1 tbsp

- Garlic Powder - 1/2 tsp

- Coconut Milk - 1/2 cup


Method

- Keep aside 1/2 kg chicken cleaned.

- In a wide pan, pour coconut oil and saute green chilli, curry leaves, onions diced, tomato.

- Once this becomes translucent, add the chicken.

- Merge it and add tomato sauce, chicken masala, pepper and garlic powder.

- Close the lid and cook for about 12 minutes.

- At this stage, add coconut milk (thick milk) and blend it well.

- Finally garnish with some curry leaves.
